Frequently Asked Questions

Are these calculators free and private?

Yes, all 8 calculators are free and run 100% in your browser. Your inputs are never sent to or stored on any server.

How accurate are the results?

Results use standard financial formulas and are good estimates for planning. Actual bank or tax figures may differ based on terms, fees and the latest rules.

How is EMI calculated?

EMI = P × r × (1+r)ⁿ ÷ ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate and n is the number of months. For a 0% rate it simply divides the principal by the months.

Is the SIP calculator return guaranteed?

No. Mutual fund SIP returns are market-linked and not guaranteed. The calculator shows an estimate based on the expected annual return you enter, to help you plan.

How does the GST calculator handle inclusive vs exclusive amounts?

Add GST applies the rate to a base (exclusive) amount to find the GST and total. Remove GST strips the GST back out of a tax-inclusive total to reveal the base amount and the GST portion.

Does the salary calculator include income tax?

It applies a simplified new-tax-regime estimate using the FY 2024-25 slabs, the ₹75,000 standard deduction, the 87A rebate and 4% cess, plus 12% employee PF and professional tax. Your actual in-hand may vary by employer and city.
